About Us

The Harmonious Hoos is an all-gender a cappella group at the University of Virginia. Since our founding in 2010, our mission has been to bring an eclectic mix of music, from classics to hit songs of today, to a wide range of audiences throughout the UVa and Charlottesville community.

Our group has been able to help numerous UVa organizations through performances at benefit concerts, singing at the UVa Hospital, performing at various athletic events, and participating in beloved traditions, such as Rotunda Sing and Lighting of the Lawn. We maintain strong relationships with multiple student organizations, and continue to expand our relationships within the Charlottesville community each year.  We have also performed at the events such at the Charlottesville Pride Festival, sang at local elementary schools, performed on television stations such as NBC 29, sang on local radio stations, and held concerts for retirement communities.

Our new album, "Article II" was released on May 11, 2024 and is available to stream on all major streaming platforms.

If you or your organization is looking for a unique and exciting performance, please contact us via our Contact Page. You can access our released music Spotify on our Music Page, and be sure to see our Youtube channel at "Harmonious Hoos" for live recordings of previous concerts!
